Hi friends, hello Virgin Islanders and others, this push for change, this endeavor requires that we look different, sound different and most of all perform different. There are many who have tried to unite us, however their efforts were mostly for their own glory. Selfishness is like a malignant cancer, it eats away from the inside without showing any sign outwardly. In this scenario, by the time it is realized that help is needed, it is usually too late.
We still see "H.O.P.E." in the distance. However, there is not much time. We cannot wait any longer for "H.O.P.E."to come to us, we must go and get it for ourselves.
Here is our mission, as we go forth we must carry the mantle, not only for us but for the many who cannot carry it for themselves. Our community is plague with acts of crime and violence. Just about each day our children, especially our young men are killing each other without any justifiable reason. This and many other reasons is why we must act now and without delay.
Can we afford to be silence any longer, I say no. The dawn is fast approaching, our lights are going dim. In order for us to find the way we must keep "H.O.P.E." alive, we must keep the light which we need to see our way burning bright that there be no mistake of which way our focus must be.
Join me and let us unite as friends, there is "H.O.P.E." beyond 2012
As you contemplate your decision to contribute, together let us think of where our community has fallen from over the many years. Let us think of the many young people and older people who are victim of crime daily. How unsafe our homes, streets and schools have become.
The present approach of many of our leaders left far too much to be desire. How can it be business as usual when families cant enjoy a simple meal. How can it be okay when of the many in our community only a fortunate few are reaping the benefit of our government?
This is our time we will make it our fight, not just for us but for all. Please give generously.
